LARGE ABSTRACT PAINTINGS: MONOCHROMATIC SERIES
My work is done intuitively. It is rooted in emotions, ideas, and is often in close conversation with my surroundings. This series explores the concept of light and darkness coexisting, both literally and metaphorically; I cover the darkness with light. I am drawn to the constant struggle of losing and regaining control of the paint. Working at this scale is physically demanding; the canvases I build are often larger than me, and I am constantly moving while painting. I have difficulty being still, but painting large and with many layers forces me to be patient. The collection of work below includes both available and sold work.
